Can anyone share any insight on SSD 2.5 SATA HDD SATA HDD versus 2.5 for the PS3?
Okay now I know that I would need a 2.5 SATA HDD to my PS3 HDD upgrade. Now I'm wondering if SATA SSD would work or will it generate more heat than the normal SATA HDD? Can anyone share any insight on this? Thanks Storm Scout Thanks guys, I had feeling that SSD would be much better, but yes I must admit it is very expensive to get. I have the bad 40GB, which I could afford back then. Now looking into getting a 80Gb - 120GB. If I ever cheapest SSD I will post it here later. Thanks Storm Scout
I doubt it would generate more heat (and without moving parts, it is probably cooler) but do not know if a PS3 would recognize one or the firmware would work with one. I know it will not use anything more than 500 gigabytes and will not use a faster transfer rate than a regular SATA drive is capable can not see a real benefit from an SSD drive in a PS3.
