SSD drive is a useful if your operating system Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit?
TRIM does not support Vista as far as I know. There maybe some down-loadable programs to "tune up" the station, but I do not know of any. This should be a consideration? Should I just stick with a regular hard disk or, more performance gained simply by upgrading to be Windows 7 64 bit? Looking for the biggest improvement in overall speed without using RAID. My system is a brand new building, not the best, but money is always a problem. I got a killer deal on the operating system but now I kinda regret.
it will be faster read / write times, but you must realize that it will only boot and load times really big benefit programs likely your problem is your CPU, GPU, or RAM. Generally you do not want to pay $ 2/GB, unless you have a pretty good system. If you did have a pretty good system that you wouldnt 32bit vista, in fact, you probably see more benefit in going to July 1964 than a bit SSD
