I am thinking of buying an extra 32 GIG SSD drive for my OS to install. But here is my problem. MY SATA connectors on my motherboard are full or she only came with 2. 1 and is used by the CD-ROM and 1 of the 500 gig hard drive. But I have an empty IDE / PATA port on my mobo. So my question is. must PATA SSD and I do it that way or to a PCI SATA adapter and connect a SATA disk. there will be a huge speed difference? PLEASE HELP. what is the best way to do it. I have an IDE / PATA CD drive and connect a SATA SSD place instead? help. anyone? her SATA2
Either way will work, but instead of connecting the new HD, move the CD-ROM to the adapter and give the new HD the freshly vacated SATA connector.
