I like 3 80GB drives in RAID 0 will add up to 240GB? and will be faster than SSD or VelociRaptor?

you cannot run 3 HDD's in RAID 0 ....... only 2 or 4.6 ...... 2 if you use your array will show about145-150ish for available dates ....... I 1 no raptor is faster than 2 7200rpm discs ...... i Run 2 raptors in RAID0 and get around 160-180mb / s read and right time ....... I have 2 WD 7200 rpm in RAID 0 raptors and smoke em ........ I have not looked new raptor you talk about, but I can say it is probably very fast using only 1 with a RAID set-up yo ........ as a RAID0 set do roll, the best stripe size to use for all use standard 64k or 128k as ..... What ssd drives go, too expensive to justify the performance gain you get paid for 2 raptors .... just my 2 cents ... good luck ....... Scott
