Hardware question, please help?

I am thinking of buying an extra 32 GIG SSD drive for my OS to install. But here is my problem. MY SATA connectors on my motherboard are full or she only came with 2. 1 and is used by the DVD drive and 1 of the 500 gig hard drive. But I have an empty IDE / PATA port on my mobo. So my question is. i get PATA SSD and do it that way or to a PCI SATA adapter and connect a SATA disk. there will be a huge speed difference? PLEASE HELP. what is the best way to do it. I have an IDE / PATA CD drive and connect a SATA SSD place instead? help. anyone? SATA2 her what is the best and cheapest way to do it. buy a PATA SSD / SSD SATA2 buy one with an adapter? anyone?

It will be cheaper and better to buy a PATA DVD / RW drive. It is not about more favorable for a SATA-ROM drive on a PATA drive, you and it would be much better if the SSD drive to have your SATA connector on the motherboard. I think a PCI SATA adapter card would be a lot slower that using the SATA connector on the board. replace the 500 gig hard drive would be expensive, PCI-SATA adapter your system would be dismantled, and that leaves your drive option if your best bet.
