yet to recover data from my hard drive?
I bought a patriot torqx 64GB solid state drive about one months ago .. and this morning after I started on, I was immediately asked to: "No bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key" i removed the drive from the laptop and connected to a USB-SATA enclosure and the hard disk can not be detected .. is given as unknown device in Device Manager .. not only this, but the BIOS can not even detect the hard drive as it reconnected the laptop (say "Hard Drive Not Exist") I'm pretty sure that the hard drive is a Goner, but is there a way to recover data from the drive? I tried installing 5 different data recovery software programs, but none of them can detect the hard disk. it is certainly not a problem with the space, such as swapping of the SSD with a SATA drive is another fine any help would be greatly appreciated also forgot to mention that I have tried using the windows recovery console .. but vain
If the BIOS cannot even recognize the drive as being there, then no software. Thats pretty much a hardware problem you cannot to anything more. As much as I like to help you recover from the data, if the bios cannot see it as a drive, then you sir have yourself an expensive paperweight.
