Would the use of a hard disk with a SSD cooler temps help, or do SSDs run cool?
I am planning on using a Corsair 128GB SSD in combination with a pair of WD Velociraptors RAID 0 for storage. Now I know how hot the raptors can get, but Im not sure if SSD's are also hot. Id like to think that because the lack of moving parts of their operating temps are rather low, but Im wondering if a hard drive cooler as the power of the scythe II gaming isurf Bay Rafter (in conjunction with a fan) life or would no longer make. please dont suggest another choice in stations, unless it really relevant to my question. also any smart ass answers like "well y dun you dip in watur? lulz "answers or spam will be deleted.
SSDs run cooler only based on the fact that they consume less energy. If you feel the need to cooling they check the manufacturers site and see if they have a recommended temperature range.
