Should I spend the $ 100 for an SSD?
Hi, I'm customizing a new laptop from Dell (XPS Studio 16) and the configuration comes with a 5400rpm 500GB hard drive. I do not so much storage, but I want speed. Is there a big speed difference between this and the $ 100 128GB SSD upgrade? Is it worth worth? The rest of the system includes 4 gigs of ram, or a P8600 2.4 GHz dual-core t9550 or 2.66-GHz processor and a 512MB ATI discrete graphics card. BTW, the SSD upgrade costs usually somewhere between $ 125 - $ 175, but Dell has some for sale. Should I spend the $ 100 for an SSD? How much faster will it be? Thanks, guys
