SSD vs SATA hard disk?
Hello, I am planning to buy a netbook, but I have come to a situation where you have the option of selecting a 16GB SSD or 160 GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM). So in reality, which is equal to 16gb ssd over SATA hard disk? Some expertise advice? Does 16gb ssd provide less space than 160 GB capacity SATA hard drive?
Solid-state hard drives are only useful if you plan on very rough with your laptop. They have no moving parts so they are much harder to damage than normal hard drives. The problem is that they do not have much storage and they are very expensive. Unless you're planning to go climbing with your laptop, set I have the SATA drive that is a lot cheaper, and has 10 times the capacity.
