Vista 64 Ult. SP1 + OCZ SSD30 HDD. Keep hanging?
I have a fairly new PC with Vista 64 bit w/SP1 on an OCZ 30GB SSD HDD. Every once in a while computer hangs for 5-10 seconds. While the computer is hung, I can still move the mouse around, and everything I type or click once the system is responsive again will run. Occasionally the only program I use will break, and I can alt-tab to another program that works fine. I have a strong feeling it is the SSD is causing the problem. I tried many tweaks the problem, including: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47212, but in vain. There are no related errors in the event viewer. Any suggestions short of buying a new hard drive is appreciated. It is an OCZ Core Series V2 30GB http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_core_series_sata_ii_2_5-ssd-eol
Just issue with SSD drives. Most of the former did not have enough RAM cache built into the drive to the smooth transfer of data, resulting in long hanging. What is the exact model of your SSD?
