SSD vs. 10,000 RPM hard drive?
Hi guys, I'm on my PC hard drive to replace it with a new and faster. I come between the solid state drive and the fast 10000 rpm hard drive. I have an external storage flash drive and my PC is for gaming. I will be much space for storage is not necessary in my PC, so I guess I would not throw more than $ 200 in. Here are the options I could go with: 1. A 32GB SSD and a fast 80 GB hard disk. 2. Two fast 80 GB hard drive (more storage) 3. A 60 GB SSD, let me hear your opinion. There is also a way to boot the PC / data access to maximize speed if I go with option 1? Thank you for your time.
Smaller disks have less room to to "search" for what you try to do. If your operating system to another disk or a small partition that gives you a little boost. For the station, I would would suggest going with the 32GB and 80GB. Bust as you said, the storage is no problem, but what do you want more games and you've used all your available space? 2 80GB drives would help, but if you want the "best" performance, 32 and 80 would probably come out on top. Besides security, the SSDs have no moving parts, so you can let fall, put it under great stress, without really having to worry about not you.
