How do I fix my eeepc Deadly Slow?
I have an EeePC 900A SSD that was fine for a while and now is so excruciatingly slow to be unusable. (1 minutes to open Start menu). I ran AVG, but now I have installed Kaspersky Anti Virus 2010 in an attempt to what ever is wrong fixed. I've run a registry cleaner through it, but that did not. I have a user forum, but they seem to have slow speeds, I can only dream and its a bit technical. Can anyone help.

Ga to Start - Run, type msconfig, click ok go to the services tab check the Hide all Microsoft services will hide all the standard anti-virus service Living un service check all services click apply then click on Restart later conclude Go to Windows folder (C: WINDOWS ) Go to Tools, click Folder Options tab, go to click on show hidden files And uncheck hide extension for known file types Remove the directory starting from $ (EX - service pack for $ $ $ $ installing) this folder are Windows Update folder is no problem by deleting folders and Thes In some Windows folder. log text file extension is simply the log of the update installation process (EX - 0.log, kb15236) Now restart ur com and feel the difference
