Compaq Armada M700 hard drive?
Hello, what kind of hard disk interface has to take this laptop? I googled it but all I came with a SMART Hard Disk ... but this is ATA, IDE, SATA, PATA? Please any help would be great. I try to find out if I can upgrade my hard drive to SSD (32GB) I for one get under $ 75, and I think it's a huge improvement. I only use the laptop for web surfing, and schools. Actually there are SSD IDE hard drives ... and if the armada is IDE, I can drive to an SSD inside ... but will it make a difference in speed? Does anyone know?
The SSD hard drives around today using a SATA interface not your laptop. SMART hard drive is actually a function that monitors for their reliability. My Armada M700 has an IDE connector. Want a SSD hard disk, you must purchase of a laptop with a SATA connection.
