Solid State Drive for Eee PC really worth?
Im on the purchase of an Asus Eee PC, and im given the opportunity to go for a 32GB SSD drive instead of a 160GB HDD. How sencitive the normal HDD disks to move? Is its use in a moving vehicle or casually on my lap or seats, the bed cause to fail? The SSD is supposedly faster, almost like motion. But ive read little tidbits about people who choose to SSD drives not easy due to memory quickly degrading the average use of flash, and also that they Arnt really fast, especially at caching large files and writing files in general. The capacity is also quite a dramatic difference, So it is well worth for me to sacrifice that space. So long story short, 160GB HDD vs 32GB SSD. Who wins?
It all depends on how you use the machine. For my use, if I had a 32GB HD I would constantly "scraping" to that restriction. Constantly worrying "I have room for this?" With to remove one thing for something else to put, etc., etc. later with that nonsense.
