What is the point of an internal solid state drive?
I build my first computer .. I looked around and someone had recommended Internal Solid State Drive $ 129 OCZ OCZSSD2 Vertex Series-1VTX30GXXX 2.5 "Internal SATA II 30GB MLC Solid State Drive (SSD) beneifits What would I see of getting something like this, what exactly will do? I mean I already plan on getting a Western Digital Caviar Blue WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb / s 3.5 "Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive do I need both? they do the same? What is the difference? Thanks so much!
SSD's are the future of computing in the coming years. This is why: 1. Super Fast - No moving parts, so Access speeds are limited only by the computer itself. (Okay, they get slow when 99 vol%) 2. Will not wear - Again ... No moving parts means no parts to wear at. You will not have to worry about the engine suddenly failed and whether the head is left without information. 3. Not as susceptible to injury - like a flash drive ... them more sustainable, because there is not something that can really hurt if you drop or bang it. That does not mean you should throw in a room ... but they are more robust in that sense. 4. Low power consumption - Council something else not one or more parts to move resources? It means that you do not apply juice.
