Netbooks: Dell or HP?
In my price range is: Dell Mini 10V - Same price as the other two not including shipping (to buy online) HP Mini Note 1109 (This is Australia, so shipping could be "dangerous - I'm in NZ - requires quite some effort to come here) HP 1128 Mini Note - The most convenient, but has a 16GB SSD hard drive - are they better? I want it mainly for writing, as in the classroom, or just in general (I write a lot) but I have a normal size laptop for DVDs and stuff that is a home computer. I have a 320GB external hard drive too, so I'm not sure exactly what I needed. These ones seem to have good keyboards (although I have not tried Dells) and appear in order and are cheap. I'm in NZ, so I do not really want people telling me about other laptops I can not buy, but if you can me tell about these particular netbooks that would be great.
well, HP and Dell are two great companies and the 2 largest computer manufacturers in the world ... if you absolutely need one small tablet laptop, I must say, you receive an SSD hard drive. you know the small USB sticks, about the size of your thumb, you can connect your portable computer for data Storage? who hold approximately 4-8 gigabytes of data. Now, if your hard drive from this one, you get an SSD hard drive. 16 gigabytes is a very, very small hard drive. you could a computer have purchased 10 years ago that had the hard drive size. what makes it different is the flash-drive based technology. it is simply placed on the market, and the advantages are: it is quieter under which no moving parts, it is not crashing, it saves a lot of battery life, and it reads data much, much faster. but with 16 GB hard disk memory, you will not be able to save much at all. when the technology is more affordable in the future, all computers will likely have SSD hard drives, but they are just an expensive option, especially now for a mini laptop. I say buy the dell! but have you seen a larger laptop and will only use this one for general use and write, then the above description of the benefits of SSD drives you like, go ahead and buy the HP if you want. Apart from the high-tech hard drive option, both computers are practically the same.
